Garden State

by 20th Century Fox
I have not enjoyed a movie this much in a long time. It was funny, weird at times, a little sad, but happy at the same time... I even cried once or twice. I highly recommend it.

The end of a blog

Today, the world of knitting blogs lost an excellent member - Crazy Daisy. She ran this blog for three years - it started as a knitting blog, but became much more. She wrote about knitting, relationships, women, familiy, and politics. I did not follow it for the full three years, but I enjoyed it nevertheless - her writing was very good, sharp and witty. In her last post she said she got overwhelmed by blog wrtting, emails, comments... It was created as a knitting blog, a place to showcase her work, but it turned out it took so much out of her time that it interfered with - knitting. Another interesting thing she menationed is that she realized she started knitting for the blog (and the community) and not for herself.
This started me thinking - why do we all start blogs? What keeps us going? How do blogs evolve and how many eventually die? Are any resurrected?
Anyway, we will miss Crazy Daisy and her wit, and we hope this is just a temporary thing and she will reappear someday...

Birthday Tracker

LilypieI meant to add Luka's birthday tracker here for a long time now - and finally here it is!
It is a very cute little application from Lilypie. I found about it when I was pregnant, from a friend who was also pregnant and counting days to delivery. Actually, I believe that's how Lilypie originally started. Now they added counters for children's birthdays, anniversaries, even vacations.
This year, we are counting down to his second birthday (where did the first one go?).
