Today, the world of knitting blogs lost an excellent member - Crazy Daisy. She ran this blog for three years - it started as a knitting blog, but became much more. She wrote about knitting, relationships, women, familiy, and politics. I did not follow it for the full three years, but I enjoyed it nevertheless - her writing was very good, sharp and witty. In her last post she said she got overwhelmed by blog wrtting, emails, comments... It was created as a knitting blog, a place to showcase her work, but it turned out it took so much out of her time that it interfered with - knitting. Another interesting thing she menationed is that she realized she started knitting for the blog (and the community) and not for herself.
This started me thinking - why do we all start blogs? What keeps us going? How do blogs evolve and how many eventually die? Are any resurrected?
Anyway, we will miss Crazy Daisy and her wit, and we hope this is just a temporary thing and she will reappear someday...
